Since entering the medical field and transitioning to the aesthetics industry, sisters Jolee Hughes and Byerly Ham finally decided it was time to take a leap of faith and open The Lookshop. The two sisters went through nursing and nurse practitioner school together and have been talking about opening their own business for years. Fast-forward to 2021, and Jolee and Byerly ensured their passion for instilling confidence and enhancing natural beauty made its way to their hometown of Forsyth, Georgia.
Jolee Hughes, Owner
Jolee Hughes, co-founder of The Lookshop, is from Forsyth, Georgia, and knew she wanted to serve in her beloved hometown. She graduated from Middle Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011 and went on to become a Nurse Practitioner, graduating from Georgia College in 2015. After over 10 years as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (APRN), Jolee chose to pivot within the medical field and entered the aesthetics industry in 2018 and has always been passionate about opening a business with her sister.
Committed to educating her patients, Jolee completed the Allergen Medical Institute Master Course Training in 2019 and the Academy for Injection Anatomy in 2021. She loves helping her patients age gracefully by addressing problem areas with a personalized treatment plan. She enjoys helping her patients understand that their goal is not to change the patient’s appearance, but to create the healthiest, most confident version of themselves.
Jolee and her husband, Matt, have three kids – Byron, Emma Hope, and Charlee. Outside of work, she loves being on her family farm where they have chickens, ducks, and a potbelly pig. Jolee enjoys traveling with her family and reading a great novel with a glass of wine or cup of coffee in hand.
Byerly Ham, Owner
Byerly Ham, co-founder of The Lookshop and also a Forsyth, Georgia native, shared the love for her hometown with her sister. She graduated from Middle Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011 and went on to become a Nurse Practitioner, graduating from Georgia College in 2015. After also having over 10 years of experience, Byerly switched gears with her sister and joined the aesthetics industry in 2018.
Byerly was a part of the Leadership Monroe class of 2018 and also holds Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certifications, carrying qualities from both achievements over into her leadership roles at The Lookshop.
Byerly is excited to be practicing in her community while giving people a safe, modern environment to enjoy. She loves regaining her patients’ confidence by enhancing their natural beauty. To her, seeing the transformation and her patients’ reactions to before-and-after photos are the best part.
Byerly and her husband, Kurt, have a two-year-old, Maggie. They love spending their time in Forsyth, a community that is constantly evolving and growing with new additions while still offering a small-town feel. She and her husband have been coaches at the local recreation department, assisted with Forsythia events, and provided the Forsyth Foxhunt as a part of the Monroe Leadership class. They look forward to continuing their community involvement.
Lindsay Helms, Nurse Practitioner
Lindsay Helms, born and raised in Thomaston, Ga. She graduated from Lagrange College with her bachelor’s degree in Nursing 2016 and began her career as Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. She worked as an ER nurse for over 3 years. The experience she gained through Emergency medicine led her to become passionate in furthering her education to become a Nurse Practitioner. She then attended South University, where she graduated in 2019 with a master’s degree in Nursing. After graduation she worked as a Nurse Practitioner in an Urgent/Primary Care in Lawrenceville, Ga before moving back to her hometown.
Her interest in Aesthetics sparked her self- propelled training in 2019. She holds certifications in Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Life Support, and with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Lindsay strived to enter the field of Dermatology and coincidentally met Jolee and Byerly during her cosmetic training in Atlanta, Ga just before they started the remodel of The Lookshop. Talk about hitting gold with these sisters! Since then, she has continued her training and education through Allergan, Galderma, Revance, along with private trainings.
Her goal as an aesthetic practitioner is providing a thorough, individualized skincare consultation and creating an overall treatment plan to make you look and feel your best. She firmly believes in establishing a trusting provider-patient relationship is a must by providing compassion and integrity within her patients. Her mission is to assist her patients in aging gracefully, by enhancing their features in the most natural way.
Lindsay is married to her husband Joe and they have a Goldendoodle named Maverick. They enjoy traveling, hiking, and mostly making new experiences together. Lindsay loves spending time with her family and baking in her spare time.
Dernolan Collier-Watson, Aesthetic Concierge Management
Dernolan Collier-Watson, aesthetics coordinator and social media manager at The Lookshop, born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, came to his forever home Forsyth Ga, in 2010. Dernolan has always had a passion in customer service and a determination in building relationships with people in our community. He is well known for his bubbly, upbeat, positive attitude and his memorable years of service at Grits Cafe, where he served as the social media manager, server.
Dedicated to providing an unforgettable experience at the Lookshop ,Dernolan takes on all the tasks from booking appointments, managing social media and lending a listening ear. He is well-versed in all products and procedures The Lookshop has to offer and attends all trainings offered.
He is passionate about skincare and enjoys creating a positive and helpful experience to patients of The Lookshop.
When Dernolan is away from work, he enjoys hiking and camping. One of his favorite places to camp in Cumberland Island off the coast of Georgia. He also has a passion for traveling and learning about different places around the country and the world. Dernolan visits his family in Germany any chance he gets. He is married to his husband Nathan and has a cat named Kai Kitty, and a dog named Serena.
Catherine Fuller, Registered Nurse
Born in raised in Macon, GA, Catherine graduated from Stratford Academy in 2010. She graduated from Central Georgia Technical College with her LPN in 2016. She graduated with her RN-ASN degree from Albany State University and is a Registered Nurse (RN).
She began her nursing career at Urology Specialists of Georgia for 4 years, before bringing her knowledge and skills to The Lookshop Aesthetics Studio.
Catherine is a Certified Hydrafacialist. She is also trained on Chemical Peels and Skincare. She is working on her Laser Certification and will be adding IPL Photofacial and Laser Hair Reduction to her appointments soon.
She continues to expand her knowledge in order to help others achieve their skincare goals. She loves helping and serving others as a nurse and makes patient care and safety her top priority.
Catherine is married Caleb Fuller and expecting their first child, Thomas Monroe Fuller, in June 2022.
Kaylee Swafford, Aesthetic Concierge
Kaylee Swafford is a Forsyth, Georgia native and graduated from Mary Persons High School in 2020.
After graduating, she attended Georgia Southern University, but has since moved home to continue her education at Gordon State College. She hopes to earn a bachelor’s degree in Health Management.
In her spare time, Kaylee enjoys spending time with her friends by the pool. She also enjoys spending lots of time with her two puppies — Whiskey and Gunner.
